Frequently Asked Questions
Ward 3, District 2: The Area This Race Covers
Where Is Ward 3, District 2 in Florence Township?
Ward 3, District 2 covers the historic riverfront neighborhood of Florence Township, the older grid-pattern streets that run between Broad Street on the east, West 5th Street on the south, Foundry and Bodine Streets on the west, and the Delaware River on the north. This is one of the oldest settled parts of Florence, a walkable neighborhood of row homes, small yards, and streets named Front, Spring, Summer, and Foundry that tell the story of the township's industrial past.
If your address is on any of these streets, you are likely in Ward 3, District 2: West 2nd Street, West 3rd Street, West 4th Street, West 5th Street, Broad Street, Front Street, Spring Street, Summer Street, Foundry Street, or Bodine Street.
Use the interactive map below or check your voter registration at vote.nj.gov to confirm your district.
What Does a Burlington County Democratic Committee Member Do?
The Burlington County Democratic Committee is made up of two elected representatives from each election district across the county. Together, these local representatives form the official governing body of the Burlington County Democratic Party.
As a county committee member for Ward 3, District 2, Gavin would attend Burlington County Democratic Committee meetings, vote on party leadership and organizational decisions, participate in endorsing Democratic candidates for local and county offices, and serve as the official neighborhood-level connection between Florence Township's Ward 3, District 2 and the broader Democratic Party organization.
County committee seats are not glamorous. There is no salary, no office, and no public spotlight. But they are the foundation of how the Democratic Party makes decisions. Who gets endorsed, who gets party resources, and who the party holds accountable all flow through the people who show up at county committee meetings. When Ward 3, District 2 has no one in those seats, our neighborhood has no voice in those decisions.
That is what this election is about.
