U.S. Census data tells the story: 57% of renters in Ward 3, District 2 are cost-burdened, paying more than 30% of their income just to keep a roof over their heads. Nearly 1 in 3 families pays halftheir income on rent. That's the math of impossible choices: rent or groceries, rent or healthcare, rent or everything else.
Meanwhile, the Burlington County Democratic Committee seats for our district have sat vacant for years. Election after election, nobody has filed to run. While our neighborhood has been dealing with warehouse overdevelopment, rising costs, and federal budget cuts threatening healthcare and food assistance, there has been no local voice inside the party speaking up for us. Year after year, someone else has made the decisions for Ward 3, District 2.
But here's the good news: Democratic leaders are starting to deliver. After nearly a decade of pressure, Burlington County just announced a major fix for Florence's truck-choked intersections. That's what happens when we show up and fight.

Each voting district elects two representatives (one male, one female) who collectively make up the Burlington County Democratic Committee. They don't make headlines, but they make the decisions that shape who runs, who wins, and what the party fights for.
In 2022, Zero Votes Were Cast for These Seats
No one filed a petition to run. No write-in votes were recorded. Not a single ballot was cast for Ward 3, District 2's County Committee seat, male or female. Our neighborhood had no voice when the party made decisions about endorsements, resources, and priorities.

When housing affordability discussions happened, the 57% of cost-burdened renters in Ward 3, District 2 had no advocate. When warehouse development decisions affected our roads, our neighborhood had no seat at the table. Every empty chair is a missed opportunity to speak up.
