U.S. Census data tells the story we ran on: 57% of renters in Ward 3, District 2 are cost-burdened, paying more than 30% of their income just to keep a roof over their heads. Nearly 1 in 3 families pays halftheir income on rent. That's the math of impossible choices: rent or groceries, rent or healthcare, rent or everything else.
For years, the Burlington County Democratic Committee seats for our district sat vacant. Election after election, nobody filed to run, so our neighborhood had no local voice inside the party while we dealt with warehouse overdevelopment, rising costs, and federal budget cuts threatening healthcare and food assistance.
That changed on June 2. Thanks to your write-in votes, those chairs are no longer empty. We now sit on the committee that helps decide who the party backs, where resources go, and which issues get attention — and we're bringing our neighbors' priorities into that room.
The best thing you can do right now is tell us what matters most to you. Take the two-minute local issues survey, and we'll carry your priorities to the table.
