About Gavin Rozzi — Your Neighbor on the Ballot

My name is Gavin Rozzi. I live in Florence Township, and I am running as a write-in candidate for the Burlington County Democratic Committee seat representing Ward 3, District 2 in the June 2, 2026 primary election.
Your Neighbor. Your Voice.
I am a Florence Township homeowner. I am a member of IBEW Local 30. I am your neighbor. I created OPRAmachine, the free platform that New Jersey residents use to submit public records requests to government agencies. I serve on the board of the NJ Foundation for Open Government, where I work to keep government honest and accessible. I am working toward my Certified Public Manager credential.
I hold a graduate degree in data science and political science from Stockton University. I have spent years researching how government works — and how to make it work better for people like us.
The Ward 3, District 2 seat on the Burlington County Democratic Committee has been vacant for years — election after election, nobody has filed to run. Meanwhile, U.S. Census data shows that 57% of renters in our district are cost-burdened, paying more than 30% of their income on housing. County committee members help choose party leadership, make endorsement decisions, and serve as the local connection between residents and the party. Our neighborhood deserves someone in that seat who lives here, who sees these struggles, and who will show up.
I welcome conversations with neighbors about the issues facing Florence Township. You can learn more about my work at gavinrozzi.com.
Why I'm Running
Year after year, I watched this seat sit empty. Nobody filed to run. Meanwhile, our neighborhood dealt with warehouse traffic, rising costs, and decisions made without us. That's not acceptable.
I've spent years building tools for government accountability — OPRAmachine has helped 11,000+ New Jerseyans file 86,000+ public records requests. I serve on the NJ Foundation for Open Government board. But I realized that transparency work isn't enough if our neighborhood doesn't have someone at the table when the Democratic Party makes its decisions.
County committee isn't glamorous. There's no salary. Most people don't even know these seats exist. But this is where the party decides who gets endorsed, who gets resources, and what issues get prioritized. When our seat is empty, someone else makes those decisions for us.
Florence Township deserves a neighbor in that room — someone who lives here, drives these roads, and sees the same problems you do. When no one else stepped up, I did.
Write in my name on June 2.
